Portrait
Born in Paris, Anne-Claire Lancenet, founder of Mille et Claire, is the product of a meeting between East and West. She owes her natural curiosity to her multicultural background. Her Haitian, Lithuanian, Polish, and French grandparents opened the doors to a passionate, colorful, and diverse world for her.
From the Maeght Foundation to the artists' studios of Saint Paul de Vence, she discovered art in all its forms. From La Baule to the family home, the "Villa Mille et Claire," the cradle of years of carefree living and a French lifestyle, Anne-Claire Lancenet retains the memory of a caring, soothing, and other-oriented way of life.
Passionate about literature, she embraced Hypokhâgnes, but preferred Prévert. A devotee of well-being, she learned perseverance and letting go through yoga. Self-taught, she captured the moment through photography, practiced drawing, wrote her first texts, and created her first accessory models.
Curious and altruistic by nature, Anne-Claire Lancenet traveled for over twenty years. Working from French workshops to those in Pakistan and Asia, as an artistic director for major fashion brands, she discovered the expertise of numerous countries, uncovered talent, forged connections, and fostered friendships—some of which she maintains today.
