Our workshops
Mille et Claire travels the world in search of authentic workshops and forgotten knowledge. We explore these artistic crafts through handcrafts and design, always with a sense of sharing and a quest for excellence.
We opened our first workshops in India in 2016 using the wood block printing technique. Gradually we discovered new workshops, discovered new techniques: weaving of Eri silk in the Kingdom of Assam, spinning of nettle in the Himalayan massifs, ancestral weaving in Manipur in Nagaland, opening of wool and linen weaving workshops in the Baltic Sea, pearl embroidery… Today we collaborate with more than 40 artisans, all technicians, passionate people who harvest, spin, weave, embroider from generation to generation, bringing through a permanent exchange a reflection on design and techniques and bringing new innovations.
By partnering with our artisans, we combine their memories, their knowledge of craft traditions, and modern technology. In our pursuit of excellence, we explore new territories through handcrafting and design.
