The Slate & Burnt Orange Kimono is part of the Playing Madras collection, born from the alliance between traditional weavings from South India and the know-how of artisans from the North. Inspired by Madras tiles, worn as sarongs in Tamil Nadu since the 16th century, this wool kimono reinvents a graphic, warm and contemporary aesthetic.

Local and responsible merino wool

This 100% merino wool kimono is handwoven from the wool of sheep raised at high altitudes in the Himalayas. Naturally insulating and breathable, this fiber provides the perfect balance of softness, warmth, and fluidity, for ideal comfort in any season.

A bold design with contrasting hues

Each piece is woven on wooden looms in our workshops in northern India. The pattern plays with checks, stripes, and lines, in a palette of slate, burnt orange, and Mekong colors, for a vibrant and unique graphic effect.
