The Sema Rayures Siena throw is inspired by natural pigments and mineral landscapes. The Siena shade – somewhere between burnt clay and pigmented earth – gives this hand-woven throw a muted intensity, suitable for cozy and warm interiors.
Handwoven in our Himalayan workshops, the Sema Siena striped throw is made from 80% wild nettle fiber and 20% organic cotton. Nettle, a hardy plant that grows at high altitudes, produces a robust and vibrant fiber. Hand-spun and then woven on a wooden loom, it retains a slightly irregular texture that vibrates in the light.
The sienna stripes punctuate the surface, they structure the material and give it a discreet, elegant, almost meditative presence.
